Frederick N. Shwaery, Sr.

Pawtucket – Frederick Nicholas Shwaery, Sr., 94, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Adele Marie (Abdulla Habib) Shwaery for seventy-two beautiful years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Esper A. and Ida (Thomas) Shwaery. Fred was a longtime member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Pawtucket, where he served on the Parish Council and various committees from 1955 – 1998. He also served twenty-five years on the Vestry. He was a member of the Order of St. Ignatius and was presented the prestigious Antiochian Silver Medal of Honor. Fred was a lifetime member of the former E.L. Freeman Lodge, now Jenks Lodge #24; Pawtucket Royal Arch #4; Knights Templar; Holy Sepulare Commandry #8; 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and RI Shriners.
