Nashawaty, Jr., 76, a retired educator, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Born in Boston, a son of the late Fred K. and Weeda (Kando) Nashawaty, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life.
Fred was a graduate of Providence College and received his Master’s Degree from Worcester Poly Tech.
He taught in the Cumberland School System for many years until retiring.
He leaves a brother, John F.
Nashawaty and his wife, Linda; a sister, Pamela A.
Desmarais and her husband, Anthony; two nieces, Julie A.
Desmarais and a nephew, Anthony Desmarais, Jr. all of North Providence.
He was the brother of the late Marjorie A.
Services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St.
Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High St., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
VISITATION will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.
