Pawtucket – Frank Marcella, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 6, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Giovanna (Mazza) Marcella for 50 years. Born in Palermiti, Catanzaro, Italy, a son of the late Paolo and Teresa (Aloisi) Marcella, he came to the U.S. in 1962 and settled in Pawtucket. Frank served in the Italian Military. He was a self-employed mason and carpenter for many years, and was an avid gardener. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughters, Mirella Marcella and Lisa Marcella-Cota both of Pawtucket; grandchildren, Giovanna, Alfredo, Francesca, Logan and Lance and several siblings in Italy. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
