Pawtucket – Frank A. Macedo, Jr, 79, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. He was a son of the late Frank A. Macedo, Sr. and Gertrude L. (Alix) Macedo.
Born and raised in Pawtucket, Frank was a graduate of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus School and Tolman High School; completing his studies at Bryant University. Frank honorably served in the United States Army as a Special Forces Green Beret and paratrooper during the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star for his heroic service. He went on to work as a school bus driver for both the Pawtucket School Department and First Student in Pawtucket. Above all else, Frank was a devoted son, brother, and uncle who lovingly cared for his mother for more than ten years. He had been a seasonal camper at Echo Lake for nearly fifty years and enjoyed camping, boating, and snowmobiling with his family and friends. Frank will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He leaves behind his beloved sister, Patricia A. Labelle of Pawtucket; his godson and nephew, Barry E. Labelle; his nieces and nephews, Kasey Labelle, Cindy Harris, Richard Macedo II, Nikki Rivera, Teisha St. John, and Christopher Macedo; many great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard A. Macedo and Gregory E. Macedo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 11:00AM at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
VISITATION will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the Mass from 9:00AM-10:30AM.
