Frank C. Jackson, Jr.

August 12, 1935 — October 20, 2021

Pawtucket – Frank “Sonny” C.

Jackson, Jr., 86, (dubbed as “Sonny” by his family early in life, on account of his bright red hair) passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Stover) Jackson for sixty loving years this past June 19th.

Born on August 12, 1935, in Portland, Maine, he was a son of the late Frank C., Sr. and Margaret J. (Thurlow) Jackson.

Sonny graduated from Portland High School and was a talented athlete.

He played for all the high school sports teams during his high school days.

Sonny was a Unites States Air Force veteran and was stationed in Colorado, Germany, and Saudi Arabia during his time in the military during the Korean War era.

He worked for many years at Jack & Harry’s and J.C.

Hall Company before his retirement.

Sonny had a gentle spirit with a heart of gold, and he always enjoyed making people laugh.

We were all so blessed to have Sonny in our lives.

The Good Lord let us keep him for eighty-six years, and for that we will all be forever grateful for.

May he now rest with the Angels and all our family that were waiting for him above.

We will miss you so much and words could never express our heartfelt loss.

We love you and miss you so very much.

Besides his loving wife, Sonny leaves two sisters, Hazel DeLomba and her husband, George, of Pawtucket, and Mildred “Millie” Gouveia of North Providence, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and dear friends.

He was the brother of the late Robert Jackson, Pauline Jackson, and Irene Morgan.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Committal Services with Military Honors on Friday, October 29th, at 12:00 p.m. directly at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.

Flowers and calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Memorial gifts to The Jimmy Fund, C/O Dana-Farber Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215 would be appreciated.
