Francis Sousa

Pawtucket - Francis “Frank” Sousa, 82, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Mello) Sousa for fifty-nine years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Manuel and Gertrude (Bridges) Sousa. Mr. Sousa worked as an art installer at Rhode Island School of Design for twenty-four years prior to retirement. He enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques and visits to the beach. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Lemire of Pawtucket; a son, Michael Sousa of Attleboro, MA; three sisters, Elizabeth Gilbert of N. Carolina, Joann Knight and Mary Camara, both of Pawtucket; five grandchildren, Josh and Ryan Sousa, Matthew Lemire, Alanna Sousa-Pullen and Alyssa Pullen and four great-grandchildren. Frank was the father of the late Frank L. Sousa and brother of the late Tony and Johnny Sousa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Church, 211 Sabin St., Pawtucket. Interment will immediately follow in Swan Point...
