South Attleboro – Francis “Frank” E.

Keane, 81, passed away peacefully at home after a short illness surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Riggi) Keane and the late Annette B. (Roy) Keane.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John J. and Margaret (McKenna) Keane, he was a lifelong resident of South Attleboro.

Frank served two separate tours of duty in the U.S.

Army during the Korean War.

He was a Captain on the Attleboro Fire Department for twenty-seven years until retiring in 1994.

Frank was also the founder of the former Keane Oil Service, South Attleboro.

He was dedicated to family, friends and community, and was known for hosting wonderful gatherings for them in his home.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves two daughters, Kristen Keane and her husband, Andrew of Bolton, MA and Keri (Keane) Rodrigues and her husband, John of South Attleboro; a step-daughter, Patty Kozma of South Attleboro; six grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Rodrigues, Katelyn and Heather Keane, Ryan Kozma and Hunter Gorton; a brother, John B. “Jack” Keane of South Attleboro and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Mary Holmes, Eileen Kimbrough, former Attleboro Mayor, Gerald J.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.

Interment will follow at Mt.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

VISITATION will be Thursday 5 to 8 p.m.
