Francis "Butch" J. Balcewicz

Pawtucket – Francis “Butch” J. Balcewicz, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was the beloved companion of Ellen M. Brederson for over 36 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John F. and Pauline (Steczkowna) Balcewicz. Butch was a member and bartender at the IDIP Club, Pawtucket for the past many years. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge # 463, Attleboro and a past member of the former New England Fans of Horse Racing Club. Butch was involved in horse racing at many of the New England tracks since the late 1940’s. Besides his loving companion, he leaves a brother, Stanley Balcewicz and his wife, June, of Riverside and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stella Kelly, John Balcewicz, Eleanor Chaffin, Baby Michael Balcewicz and Helen Jenkins. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
