Lincoln – Francis S. Holobowicz, Jr., 67, passed away peacefully at home with his entire family by his side on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Linda M. (Garant) Holobowicz for 45 years. Born in New York, New York, he was a son of the late Francis S., Sr. and Katherine (Tsistinas) Holobowicz. Frank was a US Navy Seabee veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned three battle stars and a Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. He worked as a tool maker at Leviton Manufacturing for over 14 years until his retirement in 2005. Frank was a member of the RI Bass Stalkers Fishing Club and the DAV. He was an avid bowler, playing on leagues at East Providence and Cranston Lanes. Frank volunteered much of his time as a coach for many local youth sports teams including, Fairlawn Little League, Pop Warner Football, girls softball and boys & girls swim teams.
