Francis J. Burke

Burke, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012.

He was the beloved husband of the late Hazel M. (Baker) Burke for 56 years.

Born in Rutland, VT, he was a son of the late William and Mary Burke.

Frank was a World War II US Navy Veteran, and was the head salesman at McWatty Belting Co., Providence, for many years until retiring.

He was the Veteran Services Officer for Seekonk, MA for over 10 years and was an active member of the Seekonk YMCA.

He leaves a son, David J.

Burke and his wife, Janet of Concord, MA and three grandchildren, Andrew T., Alison E. and Kimberly A.

He was the father of the late Jeffrey D.

Burke, and was predeceased by nine siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., Rumford, RI.

Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1210 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02920 will be appreciated.
