Frances Peets, R.N.

South Attleboro – Frances (Correia) Peets, R.N., 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016.

Born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Manuel and Bridget (Stanek) Correia, she resided in South Attleboro most of her life.

Fran was a graduate of St.

Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro for over thirty years until retiring.

In the 1970’s she was involved in training area fire departments in Emergency Medical Services, and was very instrumental in the new design in the early 1980’s of the Sturdy Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a fifteen year volunteer usher at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Fran leaves her two loving daughters, Jeanne L.

Travers and her husband, John of Franklin and Carol A.

Wolstencroft and her husband, Richard of Attleboro; a sister, Florence Peets and her husband, Donald of Ft.

Worth, Texas; a brother, John E.

Correia of Dallas, Texas and a sister-in-law, Mary Correia of Rome, New York.

She was most proud of her beloved grandchildren, Rebecca Smith of Ft.

Myers, Florida, Ryan Wolstencroft and his wife, Tina of Attleboro and Kathryn Travers of Franklin; her most cherished great-grandson who lovingly referred to her as “Bobki”, Colton Smith of Ft.

Myers, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Fran was the sister of the late William Correia and Dolores Broomhead.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.

Interment will follow at St.

John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.

VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.
