Seekonk – Frances E. (Tetreault) Mallon, 81, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Wilfred O.
Tetreault and Mary E. (Monaghan) Brusby, she resided in Seekonk since 1958.
Frances, being an only child, wanted a large family.
She and her beloved husband, Bernard “Barney” J.
Mallon, Jr. of 63 years were successful in creating a family of twelve children.
Besides her husband, she leaves nine daughters, Denise Mallon-Hull, Corinne Sylvia, Susan Mallon, Cheryl Masse, Debra Fleming, Joyce Kelly, Laurie Pasqual, Kimberly Mallon and Carolyn Moore; three sons, Bernard “Joey” Mallon, III, Christopher Mallon and Gregory Mallon; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Her love of children and animals could never be questioned since the house was always full with both.
From being a Brownie and Girl Scout leader to her love of square and round dancing, Frances will forever be missed, especially for her “tell it like it is” attitude, the pride of her family but mostly for her hugs and kisses.
Frances was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish and had been active with the Adventure Youth Group.
She was also a past-president of the Star Twirlers Square Dance Club.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk.
VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 8 p.m.
Please omit flowers, memorial gifts to the Sturdy Foundation, Attn: Oncology Outpatient Department, 211 Park St., Attleboro, MA 02703 would be appreciated.
