East Providence – Florence D. (Kazarnovich) Hamel, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmond J. Hamel. Born in Clinton, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Waszkenicz) Kazarnovich. Florence was the Human Resources Secretary at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, for over ten years until her retirement. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Senior Saints and the GFWC of Pawtucket. Florence loved to garden, read and spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to entertain her friends and family and will be lovingly remembered for her generosity and hospitality. Florence leaves three children, Jean M. Clarke and her husband, Robert of Rumford, Barbara Bizier and her husband, Richard of North Attleboro and David E. Hamel and his wife, Deborah of Wakefield; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by all of her siblings.
