Fernanda I. Dejesus

Pawtucket – Fernanda I. (Rita) DeJesus, 83, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joao T.

Born in Faial, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jaime and Norberta (Faria) Rita.

Fernanda came to the United States in 1975 and settled in Pawtucket.

She was employed at Cardi’s Furniture, Swansea, for over twenty years, where she worked until Monday, October 21st.

Fernanda had previously been employed by Hasbro for twenty-five years.

She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland and was a member of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente, Pawtucket.

Fernanda was a loving and devoted mother to her five children, Paula SaoJoao, Jennifer M.

DeJesus; six grandchildren, Ryan and Ashlee Burns, Nuno SaoJoao, Kourtney Vincent, Dylan and Kaelyn DeJesus and several great-grandchildren.

She was one of seven late siblings.

VISITATION will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Ave., Pawtucket.
