Fern A. Armfield

North Attleboro – Fern A. (Helms) Armfield, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the wife of the late James A. Armfield, Jr. Born in Revere, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Anna (Stevens) Helms. Fern worked as an assembler for the V.H. Blackington & Company, North Attleboro, for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, playing cards and Bingo. Fern leaves two sons, James A. Armfield, III and his wife, Pauline of North Attleboro and George I. Armfield; two daughters, Carol L. Nunes and her husband, George and Charlene F. Armfield all of Pawtucket; three sisters, Ruth Baker of North Attleboro and twin sisters, Hazel Dehestras and Hilda Helms both in California; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Raymond Armfield and the sister of the late Irving Helms, Gladys McKeon and Mildred Beaulieu.
