Evelyn M. Arrighie

Prudence Island – Evelyn M. (Ducharme) Arrighie, 86, of Prudence Island and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 8, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Arrighie. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George L. and Eva M. (Michaud) Ducharme. Evelyn and her late husband were the proprietor s of Freddy’s Fruit Stand / General Store on Prudence Island for well over twenty years. She was previously a teller at the Raynham Dog Track, and had also been employed as a telephone operator many years ago. She leaves her sister, Vivian D. English of Providence and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late George L. Ducharme, II. VISITATION will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
