Eva E. Poirier

Providence – Eva E. (Gauthier) Poirier, 93, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late George Normand Poirier. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Eva M. (Wright) Gauthier, she resided in Pawtucket until moving to Providence in 1990. She leaves three daughters, Louise E. Cadieux of North Providence, Corinne F. Deneault of Cumberland and Jane B. Perry of East Providence; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Theodore “Ted” G. Poirier and the sister of the late Florence C. Carroll and Arthur L. Gauthier. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St., Providence.
