Eugenie R. Girczyc

South Attleboro – Eugenie “Jean” R. (Martin) Girczyc, 96, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred “Fred” F. Girczyc who passed in 1990, they were married thirty-eight years.

Jean worked for many years at Sayles Finishing Co., until 1959 and subsequently at Hinley Manufacturing until 1962, where she worked for ten years.

Jean was an avid card player and was a member of several card leagues. She was a longtime member of AARP, Attleboro Chapter and she enjoyed caring for animals and tending to her flower garden.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-six years.

She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Michelle Decelles, Deborah Martin Estrella, and Matthew Connors, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jean was the mother of the late Frederic G. Girczyc and the sister of the late Rose H. Carroll, Alyce M. Lynch, George H. Martin and Lucille M. Connors.

The FUNERAL will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, 3655 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cumberland.

VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to a local animal shelter of one’s choosing or to Accent Care Foundation, 1 Edgewater Dr, Norwood, MA 02062, would be appreciated.
