Eugene "Gene" A. Slade

Seekonk – Eugene “Gene” A. Slade, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 5, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Vivian R. (Bouthillier) Slade. Born in East Providence, he was one of five children of the late Joseph and Margaret (O’Connor) Slade. Gene was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked as a salesman for many years until his retirement. Gene was an antique car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and woodworking. Gene leaves a daughter, Jennifer A. Marrandette and her husband, Philip; a son, Shawn P. Slade and his wife, Jane; four grandchildren, Emma, William, Mia and Henry and many niece and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
