Pawtucket - Esther T. Paquin, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis G. Paquin for seventy-five loving years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Ruth (Dickinson) Palmer.

Esther was the heart and soul of the family. She was the quintessential mom. Her greatest joy in life was family. Family and God meant everything to her and was her greatest blessing. Ester was a strong, king, caring, compassionate, beautiful, resilient woman. Always willing to help anyone. She loved with every part of her heart.

One of the things Ester loved to do and took pride in was cooking and baking, whether for family, friends or church. She could effortlessly feed a few or a hundred; turning a meal into an act of love. Her service to the Cumberland Community Methodist Church included many May Breakfasts, Harvest Dinners, Anniversary Dinner and other special occasions. They are a testament of her love and service to God along with service on various committees. She took great love in hosting any and all holidays and family gatherings, embracing life to its fullest.

Francis was the love of her life. They had a life-long passion for dancing. Many Saturday nights you would find them out square dancing. They truly enjoyed being with each other and were soul mates for life.

Esther is survived by her five children: Sheila Paquin of Pawtucket; Deborah Gingras and her husband, Ron, of Central Falls; Andre Paquin of East Providence; Brian Paquin and his wife, Linda, of Hope Valley; and Keri Laurila and her husband, Peter, of Pawtucket; siblings, Ruth Fryzel, Ida Bachand, Warren Palmer and Bernice Forslund; as well as six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bernard Palmer and Rosalie Jerauld.
