Estelle Nixon

Wakefield – Estelle (Gilheeney) Nixon, 92, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Nixon. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Nell (Rogan) Gilheeney. Estelle was the payroll manager at Texnor Apex, Pawtucket, for many years until her retirement. In more recent years, Estelle volunteered much of her time working in the gift shop at Memorial Hospital of RI and the Peacedale House Store in Wakefield. Estelle enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at various places along the Rhode Island coastline, especially in Narragansett and Matunuck. In her younger years she enjoyed to dance. Estelle was also a longtime member and past-president of the Pawtucket Women’s Club. She leaves a daughter, Nancy J.
