Pawtucket – Estelle C. (Towner) Gray, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of the late Archibald “Archie” Gray for over 60 years.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Emile O. and Jeanne (Leroux) Towner.
Estelle worked for 20 years for the City of Pawtucket in the capacity of Secretary to Chief of Police, serving under four chiefs throughout her career and was a former member of the Chiefs of Police Secretaries Association (COPSA).
A devout Catholic, Estelle was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Seekonk (Formerly St.
Gray also enjoyed volunteering at the Attleboro Seniors Center where she would work as a secretary and in various other capacities over the years.
Outside of her professional life, Estelle loved traveling with Archie.
They had many trips abroad as well as cruises, trips to Las Vegas and Reno as well as camping trips.
She loved entertaining and preparing meals for her family on holidays and special occasions, where there was often a favorite pastime of family card games.
She loved her sweets, playing Bingo, Cooking and Sewing.
She loved watching and taking care of her beloved grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was also able to experience her great-great-granddaughter for a milestone of five generations.
Estelle will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, life-long friendships, generosity, and her tender heart, and by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-nine years.

Woods, and Russell G.
Gray both of Pawtucket, Gail G.
Gray of Attleboro, and Eric J.
Gray and his wife, JoAnn, of Lincoln; a brother, Robert Towner of Cumberland; a sister, Lucille Doucette of Cumberland; daughter-in-law, Joanne B.
Gray of Biloxi, MS; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Gary S.
Gray, grandmother of the late Steven M.
Woods, Jr., and the sister of the late Lorraine Hood and Pete Towner.
VISITATION will be held on Friday, June 24th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
