Estelle M. Gaudette

Pawtucket – Estelle M. (Coverly) Gaudette, 83, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J.

Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Arthur W., Sr. and Lucy E. (Ladd) Coverly.

Estelle worked for nearly forty years as a respiratory therapist at both St.

Joseph’s Hospital, Providence and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

Outside of her professional life, Estelle was an enthusiastic sports fan.

Both Estelle, and her late husband, served as vice-president and president, respectively, of the Lincoln Country Club and was a founding member of the Pawtucket Slaterettes Baseball team.

Estelle was also very devout.

She was a longtime member of the Grace Gospel Church in Somerset and a monthly supporter of St.

Jude Children’s Hospital.

In more recent days, Estelle took up residence at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay Senior Residence in Tiverton, where she was considered witty, joyful and a caring friend.

She very much enjoyed participating in all the activities offered and was always trying to give her pennies away.

Estelle will be lovingly remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Her legacy and memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-three years.

Estelle leaves a son, Ken Gaudette and his wife, April; a daughter, Wendy Lapuc; four grandchildren, twin grandsons, Nathan and Declan Gaudette, Sklyer and Zarley Lapuc; a brother, Arthur Coverly, Jr. and his wife, Carol; a sister, Gloria Meyer, and several nieces and nephew.

She was the sister of the late Ann Ethier and of the late Grace Harakles.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services on Saturday, July 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Gospel Church, 3049 County Street, Somerset, MA.

VISITATION will be held on Friday, July 15th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
