Ernest Fernandes

Pawtucket – Ernest Fernandes, 101, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Maria U. (Luis) Fernandes for fifty-seven years. Born in Portugal, a son of the late Jose and Louisa (Jesus) Fernandes, he resided in Pawtucket over thirty years. Ernest was young at heart and loved being with his family. Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children, Elisabete Peixinho and her husband, John, Paul A. Fernandes, Claudia Marques and her husband, Lourenco, Suzana Correia and her husband, Antonio DaCosta and the late Lurdes F. Monteiro. He also leaves ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 10a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
