Pawtucket – Emmeline A. (Packer) McCarthy, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank T. McCarthy. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Emmeline (Camac) Packer. Emmeline was a World War II United States Army Air Corps veteran, she served with the 7th Air Force. She was a past-president of the former Cronshaw VFW Post, Cumberland; member of the Major Walter G. Gatchell VFW Post No. 306, Pawtucket and also a member of Amvets Post No. 33, Pawtucket. Emmeline was the co-owner with her late husband of the former Mac’s Second Hand Store, Pawtucket until retiring in 1987. She leaves seven children, Patricia Mozzini, Reginald McCarthy, Jacquelyn Valeriana, June Hirsch, Suzanne Dailey, Laura McCarthy and J.C. McCarthy and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David McCarthy.
