Emilie C. Forest

Lincoln – Emilie C. (Broberg) Forest, R.N., 90, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert N. Forest. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Sophie (Renken) Broberg.  Emilie grew up in East Providence and attended school there, graduating from East Providence High School in 1951. After high school, Emilie dreamed of becoming a nurse and studied at Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing. After graduation in 1954, she went to work as a Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital. Emilie later moved to Boston with a dear nursing friend, Stella, and she worked as a nurse at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston and later Dartmouth Hospital, NH. In 1959, Emilie married Robert N. Forest and the couple moved to San Antonio, Texas. Upon the birth of their first child, they returned home to Rhode Island to raise their growing family.
