Pawtucket – Emile A. Metivier, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Monique R. (Boulanger) Metivier. Born in Albion, he was the son of the late Emile and Aurore (Forest) Metivier.  Emile began his career as an apprentice weaver at the former Cadillac Textile, Valley Falls, and retired after forty years as the textile superintendent. He was credited for the development of an engineering enhancement for a loom called Unifil, which increased the speed of production and overall profitability. Emile was a communicant of the former Church of St. Leo the Great, Pawtucket, and was a member of the Quebec City Marching Band where he played the saxophone.
