Elzbieta Silva

May 17, 1969 — Aug 19, 2026

Warwick - Elzbieta “Ela” (Krajanowski) Silva, 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ela was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend, who led an extraordinary life of laughter, fun, compassion, and love. Born in Nisko, Poland, she was the daughter of Anna (Serafin) Krajanowski and the late Adam Krajanowski.

Ela emigrated with her family to the United States from Poland at the age of 14, where she began to forge a new life in Central Falls, Rhode Island. She received her bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College, after which she became a dedicated educator who loved her students. Ela taught mathematics at the former Textron Chamber Academy, later renamed Academy for Career Exploration (ACE) in Providence for over twenty years, and then more recently at Roger Williams Middle School. Teaching was her true calling; she loved being in the classroom. Ela always went above and beyond for her students, organizing after school events, volunteering, and serving as a mentor, allowing them to realize their full potential and succeed in their future endeavors.

In her free time, Ela enjoyed visiting the beach, traveling with her family, dancing, and listening to live music, particularly her favorite song “Spring Love” by Stevie B. She took the greatest pride in being a mom, and some of her fondest memories are celebrating milestones with her daughters, relaxing in the gazebo with her dog, Oliver, going to concerts, and attending sporting events as a passionate Patriots fan. An avid gardener, Ela loved flowers, particularly the blue hydrangeas she cultivated in front of her home since 1998.

Alongside her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph A. Silva; her beloved daughters, Eva Silva and Mekenze Silva, of Warwick; her siblings, Adam Krajanowski of Rehoboth, MA, Halina Krajanowski of Melbourne, FL, and Krystof Krajanowski of Parkland, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Her contagious energy, positive attitude, and magnetic personality will be forever missed, with her legacy continuing through the incredible impact she had on family, friends, and hundreds of students throughout the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 391 High Street, Central Falls. Interment will be private.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.
