Elliott M. Fox, Jr.

June 6, 1951 — August 2, 2022

Smithfield – Elliott M.

Fox, Jr., 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine R.

Fox, loving each other for nearly 50 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Elliott M., Sr. and Dorothy M. (Bergeron) Fox.

Besides being Cathy's "Prince Charming" and true love, he was a devoted Dad who was always proud of his children, the Best Papa Ever to his 5 grandchildren, Father-in law, Uncle, Brother-in-law, Friend, and Brother to his five sisters.

He loved sports, whether watching on television, in person or coaching, especially when it involved grandkids.

He was a Dad and Papa that "showed up"!

The couple enjoyed attending music concerts and the theatre and he, an accomplished singer and actor, often shared the stage with his wife Cathy.

A favorite past time of his was to go fishing with his son or to sit around a campfire, sharing laughs and stories with family while camping at Bowdish Lake.

But what his wife will hold dear to her heart are the memories of the cards he would drop in the mail to her, the bouquets of flowers he would bring on his way home from work, just because!

The coffee he made daily and brought to her in bed every morning, always opening the car door for her, their walks with their dog Scout, his hand in hers, always making her laugh, his sense of humor being pure joy and especially, never forgetting his selfless care of his mother-in-law in her ailing years.

He was a gentle man, a kind man, loved and respected by many and will be so greatly missed.

His faith never faltered and while holding his wife's hand, his courage and bravery endured until his last breath.

So, from your Sweetie: "Be at peace, My Handsome Prince, save my place and always remember; from the first time ever I saw your face, you colored my world.

We will be together again, my love." Services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to William W.

Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
