Pawtucket – Elizabeth “Betty” (Rustigian) Peterson, 86, passed away at home on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of Samuel “Sam” Peterson for sixty-four years.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Arthur, Sr. and Beatrice (Grayson) Rustigian.
Betty was a retired hairdresser and had also been employed by Chuck Wagon Catering at several private schools.
Betty loved to shop, especially to make other people happy.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Deborah Burns and her husband, Dr.
David Burns, Sr., DO of Wakefield and Lisabeth “Beth” Peterson of East Greenwich; three grandchildren, David Burns, Jr., Dr.
Kristen Mahoney and Cassandra Burns and a great-granddaughter, Lilly Mahoney.
She was the sister of the late Arthur Rustigian, Jr.
VISITATION will begin on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Requiem Eucharist at noon in the Church of The Epiphany, 1336 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford.
Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
