Elizabeth A. Paquette

d. October 24, 2024

On October 24, 2024, Elizabeth Anne Paquette, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, went in peace to dance in the garden with angels.

She hopes they like Bruno Mars.

A beloved wife, mother, Nana and sister.

She now watches over her husband of nearly 50 years, three children and their spouses, and four grandchildren who love her to the moon and back.

They will miss her smile, warm hugs, delicious baked goods, and the magical way she turned an ordinary day into an extraordinary holiday.

She was and always will be the heart and center of her family.

Beth, as she was known to her friends, was a remarkable, creative, and strong individual.

During her career as an educator, she touched the hearts and minds of many through her various roles, and there were a few!

Always up for a challenge and trying something new, she taught every grade from K to 8, college, and even tried out the desk in the vice-principal’s office.

Though she enjoyed all her positions, her passion was developing curriculum that helped all children succeed and thrive.

She was a real character in the classroom, using imagination, storytelling and the occasional treat to engage even the most reluctant learner.

She was never afraid to be silly and even showed up to teach her first college seminar for student teachers in a suit accessorized with a pair of fuzzy teddy bear slippers because it’s always best to teach by example.

She was an exceptionally gifted educator whose passion for learning extended far beyond the classroom.

During the summer months, Beth was an avid gardener, and she taught her kids, both at home and in her classroom, to be good stewards of the earth.

When she wasn’t working in the garden, Beth could be found seated among the plants she so lovingly cared for with a cup of tea and a good book.

She enjoyed a cozy mystery both on the page and on the screen.

When the weather turned cold, Beth let her creativity flourish indoors.

Her handmade gifts of cross stitch, dried flower wreaths, blankets, and dolls will forever be treasured.

It isn’t easy to sum up seventy rich and full years into a few words, but Beth described it in one – blessed.

A very private person, Beth wished to have a quiet parting without any ceremony.

She will be cremated and returned to the place she considered to be heaven on earth to live on within the beauty of nature.

Her last wish was that no child ever have to endure the pain of cancer.

She hoped anyone wishing to honor her memory would consider donating to one of her favorite charities, Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St.

Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

And so, with a hug in our hearts and a Russel Stover Chocolate in hand, we honor and salute a beautiful life lived beautifully.

Arrangements are entrusted to William W.

Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
