Elizabeth C. Macdonald

East Providence – Elizabeth C. (Morrissey) MacDonald, 93, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, September 15, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond F. MacDonald, II. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late John and Carmen (Perez) Morrissey.
Elizabeth settled in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1985 and was devoted to her family and enjoyed caring for her home and the “Mac Clan”. In addition to caring for her large and loving family, Elizabeth was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Cecilia Church (formerly St. Leo the Great Church) for many years.
She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-three years.
Elizabeth leaves her “Mac Clan”, Peter N. MacDonald and his wife, Myra, of Alexandria, Virginia, Regina A. Lynch of Cranston, Brian R. MacDonald and his wife, Cindy, of Salina, Kansas, Mary Ellen Henson and her husband, Kevin in Newport News, Virginia, Katherine Jackson and her husband, Paul, of Pawtucket, Raymond F. MacDonald, III of Pawtucket, John P. MacDonald of Warwick, New York, Rose Mary MacDonald of Pawtucket, Thomas E. MacDonald and his partner, Ron Cesario, of Pawtucket, Andrea MacDonald of Pawtucket and twin sons, Matthew MacDonald and his wife, Suzanne, and Mark MacDonald all of Cranston; a brother, William Morrissey of Brooklyn, New York; twenty grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter due in January and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ann “Annie” Downie and John “Buddy” Morrissey.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 19th at 8 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, September 18th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
