Pawtucket – Elizabeth S. (O’Neil) Lima, 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness on Sunday, March 6, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Lima. The couple would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on April 24th. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Duffy) O’Neil, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life. Betty had a great love for her family and her greatest joy in life was spending time with them and being involved in all of their activities. She was also very involved in the Church of St. Leo the Great where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister; member of the Spirited Seniors; first woman appointed to the Church Council and had been in-charge of the Neighborhood Friendly Visitor Program. Betty had the great honor of being named Volunteer of the Year by the Diocese of Providence.
