Elizabeth L. Bonivart And Family

Pawtucket - Elizabeth (Beth) Bonivart (née Stewart), 86, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, at The Branches of North Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Born in 1938 in Ontario, Canada, to Edward Watson Stewart and Isabel Stewart Lafreniere, Beth was a beloved sister to siblings Edward Clayton Stewart, Jean Furlani, and Isabell Brown, and stepdaughter to Cecil Lafreniere, all predeceased.

Beth was the devoted wife of the late Dr.

Arthur Bonivart, with whom she relocated to the United States in 1965.

She spent a career in health care, and worked closely with Dr.

Bonivart to maintain a successful surgical practice in their adopted home of Rhode Island.

Above all, Beth was a fierce and loving mother to Jennifer Bonivart, whose own untimely death earlier this year left her heartbroken.

Beth was a beloved member of the Pawtucket community.

Over the years, the Bonivart home was the site of social gatherings, impromptu pool parties, and intimate meetings of friends and family.

Beth was a stalwart friend to many, including neighbors Kathy Kolenda, Nancy Bailey, and Joelle Shalhoub Lozinski, who remained at Beth’s side in her final days.

Beth will be deeply missed by her extended family, including many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered by all for her trademark wit, her strength, and deeply loving heart.

Friends are invited to attend Services to celebrate the lives of the Bonivart Family on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Redwood Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
