Elena Araujo

Pawtucket – Elena Araujo, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021 surrounded by her late brother’s loving children. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Amelia (Gregorio) Araujo. A lifelong resident of the city, Elena was a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish, Pawtucket, for many years. She worked as an office manager for Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company in Pawtucket, North Providence and Southeastern Massachusetts before retiring in 2005. Elena enjoyed playing cards, watching the Boston Red Sox games and never missed her soap operas. She lived by example and influenced everyone around her to be better. Elena’s absence will be greatly missed amongst her small family circle that meant everything to her. She leaves her only surviving sibling, a sister, Maria F.
