Eleanor L. Hayes

Seekonk – Eleanor “Ellie” L. (Corrigan) Hayes, 77, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Monday, June 16, 2014.

She was the beloved wife of Raymond F.

Born in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Francis, Sr. and Blanche (Desrosiers) Corrigan.

Ellie was a Directress of Religious Education at various parishes throughout the Dioceses of Fall River and Providence for over 23 years until her retirement.

She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish Music Ministry and Women’s Guild.

Ellie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Besides her loving husband, she leaves five children, Patricia A.

Sherrerd of Seekonk, Stephen R.

Hayes and his longtime girlfriend, Lori Spaziano of Valrico, FL, Ann Marie H.VanDeGiesen and her husband, Cal of Franklin, Kathleen E.

Tierney and her husband, Steve and Christine M.

Iaconis and her husband, Bob all of North Attleboro; three brothers, Raymond E.

Corrigan, Jr. and William L.

Corrigan; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Donald Corrigan and Robert Corrigan.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Coyle Dr., Seekonk.

Interment will follow at Seekonk Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.
