Elaine Wilbur

Cumberland – Elaine (Samra) Wilbur, 95, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Russell Wilbur of Cranston for twenty-one years. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Amir) Samra.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and was an active member of The Ladies Society of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pawtucket. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and driving. Above all else, Elaine enjoyed being with her family and will be remembered for her love and dedication.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Mark Hashway and his wife Sheila of East Greenwich, siblings, Dr. Joseph Samra and Barbara Samra, three grandchildren, Bethany Hashway, Geralyn Manning, and Lisa Smith, two great-grandchildren, Oliver Smith and Liam Smith and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sons, Fred S. Hashway and Kevin P. Hashway, and sister, Lorice Hallal.

VISITATION will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 10:30AM to 12Noon at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High Street, Pawtucket, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 12Noon. Interment will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket.
