Elaine V. Davis

Johnston – Elaine V. (Durand) Davis, 76, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Guy T. Davis. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Gaspard J. and Eva M. (Tremblay) Durand. Elaine worked at the former Atlantic Department Store, Pawtucket and later worked as a cashier at Ward Baking Thrift Store for many years until her retirement in 1979. After her retirement, Elaine was a loving homemaker. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her beloved dogs, Skipper, Pepper and Nifty. Elaine was a longtime communicant of St. Mary Church, Pawtucket, and enjoyed reading and spending time by the ocean. Elaine leaves a daughter, Joanne M. Lemoi of Johnston; a son, Thomas G. Davis of Cumberland; a brother, Kenneth Durand of Attleboro; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond J. Durand and Pauline DeCosta.
