Pawtucket – Edward J. Tremblay, 94, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Irene A. (Kirk) Tremblay for fifty-nine years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Abel and Emily (Dufour) Tremblay. Ed was a World War II Army veteran, he served three years in the Philippines and was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Calvin Coolidge. He was a machinist at Brown & Sharpe for many years until retiring. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Edward K. Tremblay and his wife, Genevieve of Bellevue, WA, Joan Tremblay of Pawtucket, Annie Hoffman of Seattle, WA and Mark J. Tremblay and his wife, Ana of Pawtucket; six grandchildren, Kara, Amanda and Mark of Pawtucket, Madeleine, Olivia and Kirk of Bellevue, WA and a great-grandson, Gavin of Pawtucket.
