Norton – Edward “Ted” T.
Roy, 95, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, July 30, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of the late Irene M. (Amyot) Roy.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Elphege and Emma (Sweetland) Roy.
Ted was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in both Northern France and Normandy.
He worked for the Robison Rayon Company, Inc., Pawtucket for 30 years prior to working for the U.S.
Postal Service until his retirement.
Ted was a charter member of the South Attleboro Council, Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends at Stone-E-Lea Golf Course, Attleboro.
He leaves four daughters and their husbands, Mary Ellen and Dr.
Walter Reeder, Norma and Richard Mathieu all of Loudon, TN, Karen and Daniel Lamond of Cumberland, RI, Tracey and Steven Kiley of Norton, MA; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Francis Roy, Henry Roy, Mary Czeck and Ruth Lamarre.
VISITATION will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation, 406 West 34th St., Kansas City, MO 64111 will be appreciated.
