Edward E. Paradis

North Dighton, MA – Edward “Red” E.

Paradis, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 15, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Marie R. (Ledoux) Paradis for sixty-five years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Aldor and Beatrice (Peloquin) Paradis.

Ed completed his early education at St.

Cecilia’s School and was a graduate of the former East High School, Pawtucket.

In 1957 he married his sweetheart, Marie, and together they raised four beautiful children in North Dighton, MA.

Ed was employed by Canteen Corporation for forty years before retiring in 2001.

He was a longtime parishioner of St.

Nicholas of Myra’s Catholic Church in North Dighton.

His favorite hobbies included reading books, listening to music, and playing cards with family and friends.

He was a wonderful dancer, “Dad and Mom would hold the spotlight when they took to the dance floor and danced the jitterbug!” He had a love of life that was contagious.

Spending time with his wife and his family meant the most to Ed.

He cherished moments of family gatherings, and he especially  enjoyed summertime spent with his children and grandchildren at the family pool.

He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

It made him happy and proud each time a new child was born into the family.

His good nature and love of life was inspiring, and his hearty laughter brought great joy to all.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by four children, Diane Moschella and her husband, Richard A., of Rehoboth, MA, John E.

Paradis and his wife, Leslie, of Lincoln, RI, Karen Paradis of North Dighton, MA and Ken Paradis of Lincoln, RI; twelve grandchildren, Richard M., Matthew and Joseph Moschella, Joshua, Lauren, Matthew and John M.

Paradis, Julie Wagner, Amanda Paradis, Melissa Wolstenholme, Kayla Dermody and Richard J.

Dermody, III; fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Raymond, Robert and Blanche Paradis and Rose Cleary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket, followed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Visitation will be held at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
