Edward C. Dawson

Seekonk – Edward C. Dawson, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Kerr) Dawson. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Albert E. and Ann L. (Carlson) Dawson. Edward worked at J&M Tool Company, East Providence for many years until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan who faithfully followed NASCAR, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Edward was also a volunteer for the Special Olympics, Rhode Island Chapter for many years, having worked specifically with the Wampanoag Warriors. Edward leaves a beloved daughter, Tricia A. Reed and her husband, Robert of Seekonk; two grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Reed; a brother, Alan Dawson and many nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Amanda Reed, and brother of the late Harry Dawson, Alice Brierly, Norma Gardner and Anita Arnwine.
