Edward Thomas Barlog, Sr., 55, of East Providence and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015.
Born in Pawtucket, a beloved son of the late Stephen and Eleanor (Ginty) Barlog, he resided in Pawtucket until moving to East Providence four months ago.
Edward attended Joseph Jenks Junior High School and William E.
He retired from the Reliable Security Guard Agency, Inc. as an armed Lieutenant and acting Captain.
Edward was previously employed by Colberts Detective Agency, Inc.; Blackstone Security; Crown Collision; Jim’s Towing for eighteen years; New England Paper Tube Company, Inc.; Berger & Company; Stateline Scrap Company, Inc. and had also been a cook at the Players Corner Pub, Providence.
He was the devoted father of Edward Thomas Barlog, Jr. of Pawtucket; loving grandfather of Olivia Marie Donahue of East Greenwich, Christine, Jordan, Christian and Damien; beloved brother of Charles Edward Barlog and his wife, Andrina Barbara Barlog of Central Falls and uncle of Christopher James Belmore of Pawtucket.
He also leaves his brothers-in-law, David Roy, Alan Roy, Michael Roy, Donald Roy and sister-in-law, Gina Roy; his girlfriend, Margaret and good friend Donna Zarra of Warwick.
He was the former husband of the late Elaine (Pantalina) Barlog and was with the late Susan R.
Roy for thirty-two years.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 18th at 11 a.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 126 Angell Road, Cumberland.
