Rehoboth - Eduardo S. Peixoto, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Emilia (Rodrigues) Peixoto for fifty-one loving years. Born in Fagilde, Portugal, he was a son of the late Camilo and Maria Fernanda (Albuquerque) Peixoto.
Eduardo worked for many years at Teknor Apex and retired in Portugal. He was an avid fisherman, a lover of all sports and a devoted Benfica soccer fan. He loved playing cards, especially with his grandchildren. Eduardo was a past vice-president of the Portuguese Social Club in Pawtucket and a member of the Folklore group.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather affectionately known as "Bu" to his grandchildren. Eduardo enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past seventy-two years.
Besides his wife, Eduardo leaves two children, Eduardo R. Peixoto and his wife, Maria Catarina, of Johnston, and Linda Conceicao and her husband, Pedro, of Rehoboth; four grandchildren, Hugo and Karina Peixoto, Tiago and Dario Conceicao; a brother, Carlos Peixoto, of Portugal, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lucy Ponte.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 9th, at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, January 8th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. www.TrippFuneralHome.com
