Edna A. Grant

Newport – Edna A. (Cooper) Grant, 73, of Newport and Longboat Key, FL, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 with family by her side at Newport Hospital, Newport. She was the beloved wife of Arthur E. Grant, Jr. for 27 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Ida (Chace) Cooper. Edna was a Class of 1963 graduate of Hope High School, Providence and went on to become a Certified Tax Preparer for H & R Block, where she was office manager for over thirteen years until her retirement. Edna loved traveling with her family and friends, especially the many cruises she took that gave her the opportunity to visit several places around the world. Besides traveling, she loved to entertain her friends and family, hosting dinner parties and serving delicious meals, including her famous baked stuffed lobsters along with sharing a bottle of wine with her loved ones.
