Jacques, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Rene) Jacques for sixty-four years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Dominique and Gilberte (Guilbeaut) Jacques.
In 1958, Edmond established Ed’s Barber Shop which was a fixture in Wayland Square, Providence, for sixty years.
He retired in June, 2018, after sixty-four years of being a barber.
During his career, he served as Recording Secretary for the Barber’s Union of the U.F.W.
In his spare time, Edmond enjoyed tinkering with his cars, yard, and properties.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Donna Vacca, Donald Jacques and Edward Jacques and his wife, Linda (Curreri) Jacques; three grandchildren, Alisha, Jolie and Jaime; four siblings, Georgette Gousie and Robert, Dennis and Henry Jacques and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Pauline Spink and Norman Jacques.
His funeral will be held on Friday beginning with VISITATION at 8:00 a.m. followed by Services at 11:00 a.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date will be private.
