Edith L. Smith

Seekonk – Edith L. (LePage) Smith, 91, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of the late James T.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Aldor and Eloise (Darling) LePage, she resided in Seekonk over fifty-five years before moving to Attleboro in 2008.

Edith proudly served in the WAVES during World War II.

She was a secretary at the L.

Balfour Company over twenty years before retiring in 1986 and was previously a Teacher’s Aide in the Seekonk School Department.

Edith was a family person who especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of the Balfour Gold Dusters.

She leaves her son, Daniel J.

Smith and his wife, Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Brittany N. and Christopher D.

Smith all of Coventry; a brother, Russell LePage of Seekonk and nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Eloise Bergesson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, February 27th at 11:30 A.M. at the Seekonk Cemetery, Newman Ave. (Rt. 152), Seekonk.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
