Douglas R. Gobeille

Rehoboth – Douglas R. Gobeille, 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine P. (Vincelette) Gobeille, who passed in 2019. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Emile and Helen (Douglas) Gobeille. Doug was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and went onto a career as an educator for the Pawtucket School Department. Over the years, he taught at Lyman B. Goff Junior High School and most recently at the William E. Tolman High School, where he retired from years ago. Doug was a talented musician and played the ukulele with the RI Strummers Ukulele Group and “Four Guys” band where they would perform for many of the area’s veteran groups and old folk’s homes. In addition to his love of music, Doug was also nostalgic, and he enjoyed regaling his family and friends with stories of bygone times.
