Dorothy M. Pope

Seekonk – Dorothy M. (Weaton) Pope, 93, passed on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Pope. A lifelong resident of Seekonk, she was a daughter of the late William and Gladys (Crandall) Weaton. Dot was a bookkeeper for Westcott Construction Company, North Attleboro, for over twenty years until retiring in 1990. She enjoyed camping in her earlier years and was a past-president of the Attleboro Emblem Club. In her later years, Dot enjoyed Bingo and activities at the Seekonk Senior Center. She leaves a son, R. Scott Pope and his wife, Tammy, of Seekonk; a son-in-law, Edward F. Marcotte of Seekonk; four grandchildren, Jana Borgen and her husband, Michael, Brett Marcotte and his wife, Sarah, Emily Pope and Benjamin Pope; six great-grandchildren, Oliver, Henry, Wesley, twins, Sandy and Johnny and Louis. She was the mother of the late Sandra D. Marcotte and the sister of the late Gladys Stone, Helen Ellison, Emily Washburn and John Weaton. Relatives and friends are invited to...
