Pawtucket – Dorothy A. (Rudd) Pelchat, 94, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Julia (Wheeler) Rudd. Dorothy worked as a data entry clerk for American Insulated Wire, Pawtucket, for over ten years prior to retiring in 1996. Previously, she was employed at Leon Mathieu Senior Center, Pawtucket, as a receptionist. Dorothy was an accomplished freelance writer of short stories with publications in both magazines and newspapers. She was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter #2, Order of the Eastern Star, Pawtucket. She is survived by three sons, William “Bill” A. Morton and his wife, Suzanne, of East Providence, David R. Morton and his wife, Ching-Mei, of Taiwan and Richard R. Morton and his wife, Beverly, of Sayville, New York; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
